Study of an Imposed Electrostatic Field on Pool Boiling Heat transfer and Fluids Management

The presence of an electric field has proven to remarkably enhance the heat transfer in single-phase convection, and in pool boiling processes. However, the mechanisms responsible for this enhancement are not yet well understood. The purpose of this project is to address this deficiency. It will also explore the possibility of utilising electric fields to improve fluid management and heat transfer equipment in space.
