Nutrition

This topical team will study the relationship between nutrition and muscular changes linked to ageing, hydration problems, and to long-term exposure to space conditions. Mechanisms driving gene expression and the potential benefits offered by functional foods will also be investigated by this topical team. Therefore it si hoped that the important and often overlooked relation between nutritional aspects, space consitions, and health will be addressed; obviously any findings in this area would have a beneficial impact on terrestrial healthcare practicies.
